TUCSON, Ariz. – Famed comedian, actor, and television host Howie Mandel is making his first appearance at Desert Diamond Casino on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009. This 18-and-over comedy show starts at 7:00 pm with the doors opening at 6:00 pm. Tickets are on sale now and range from $35 to $65 in advance. Howie Mandel, best known as the host of NBC’s hit game show “Deal or No Deal,” first entered show business in 1978 when he became a regular stand-up comedian in his hometown of Toronto. The following year he was invited to appear on “Make Me Laugh” after a producer saw him perform at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles, CA. This exposure eventually led to his role as Dr. Wayne Fiscus on the Emmy-award winning drama “St. Elsewhere.” Mandel also was the creator and executive producer of the children’s animated series “Bobby’s World,” which ran for eight seasons on FOX.
In addition to “Deal or No Deal,” Mandel continues to appear on various talk shows and travels throughout the United States and Canada for his stand-up comedy routines. In September 2008, Mandel’s success was recognized when he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
